Finding New Ways to Entertain Young Minds

Green Bay, WI (PRWEB) November 23, 2011

What would children be doing if there was no Phineas and Ferb, no Super Mario World 3D, or even Facebook. Today, kids find themselves using modern technology to mitigate their boredom. In Michelle Liberts new book, The Best Ball of All (published by AuthorHouse), children will learn to use their imaginations and find creative ways to utilize their time.

The Best Ball of All takes place in the fictional Kingdom of Marmikel, a place where children are cherished and fairness reigns. In a land without modern amenities, what are children to do for entertainment?

For years, the King has put on various balls and dances to entertain his people, but now they have grown tired of attending the same events time after time. Together, the King, the children of the kingdom, and Nicholas, wind up finding an easy, unsophisticated cure for boredom. An Excerpt from the book:

When the King finally arrived at Nicks house, he could hardly believe the laughter and gaiety he was witnessing. While waiting for the King, Nicholas (after he recovered from the shock of all these people on his lawn!) showed the parents how to play a game by tossing the used horseshoes he had lying around. Others were playing ball, flying kites, or playing tag. Some were even napping under shade trees. But all of them were having a good time!

The Best Ball of All is a book created for kids and illustrated by a kid. The illustrator for Libert's book is actually her talented 13-year old grandson, Jacob.
