ELSEVIER Australia to Publish Landmark New Textbook for Complementary and Alternative Medicine Students

Sydney, New South Wales (PRWEB) May 16, 2011

Elsevier Australia has announced the upcoming publication of a new CAM textbook: 'Essentials of Law, Ethics and Professional Issues in Complementary and Alternative Medicine'.

When released on 15 July 2011, this will be the only local textbook to deal comprehensively with legal, ethical and professional practice issues for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) students at diploma, bachelor and coursework Masters levels.

'Essentials of Law, Ethics and Professional Issues in Complementary and Alternative Medicine' will therefore meet the need for a definitive guide written specifically for Australian students according to CAM curriculum requirements. The inclusion of such content into Complementary and Alternative Medicine study has become essential in todays litigious world.

No other local text addresses these issues for modalities considered by COAG for regulation and registration, making 'Essentials of Law, Ethics and Professional Issues in Complementary and Alternative Medicine' an ideal resource for naturopathy, traditional Chinese medicine, massage, osteopathy, chiropractic and western herbal medicine students and trainees.

Key features of the textbook include case studies, alert boxes, tips, explanations and integrative practice considerations.

This timely medical text takes a multidisciplinary approach, and is written by authors who are both academics and practitioners, with contributing authors for individual modalities.
