As its title suggests, this poetry anthology is categorized into themes: Blessings and Tears, Christmas, and Chuckles. The first section comprises forty pieces of strong emotions. Its lines evoke vivid feelings of bliss and thankfulness, as well as hurt and pain. The second part, Christmas, contains poems that send feelings of happiness, hope, and love towards its readers. It reminds them of the joyful spirit that the holidays bring. Finally, "Chuckles" encompasses charming poems that set readers to giggling or laughing. About the Author

Willi Fischer Jed is an alumnus of Olivet College and Wayne State University, where she earned a B.F.A, M.Ed. and an M.A. She is a member of the Society of Childrens Book Writers and Illustrators, the National Writers Association, Soronian, and Mu Phi Epsilon professional music sorority. As a teacher in the Warren Consolidated Schools, Jed taught secondary English literature and choral music. She implemented creative writing workshops for students which resulted in a tri-county publication featuring gifted writers of all ages. She also served on the Michigan Board of Education steering committee for secondary course and textbook selection.


A well known and gifted area poet, she had a craft shop, the Sign of the Golden Quill, in Birmingham, where she wrote personal verse for all occasions from her poets corner. Jed was featured on local T.V. and radio shows and in the Detroit Free Press and News. This led to requests from well known national celebrities to write personal poems for special occasions. Mrs. Jed has three children: a daughter, Laurie; two sons, Robert and Timothy; and two grandsons, Nick and Zack. Her late husband, Bob Jed, was a renowned jazz artist who taught gifted in the Birmingham Public Schools. She grew up on the northeast side of Detroit, spent her married life in Bloomfield Hills, and now resides in Rochester Hills, MI.
